EXPLORING NEW ENGLAND: A Journey Through Hidden Gems and Scenic Beauty.

Over the past few months, we had the chance to explore some cool places in New England and we’re anxious to share them with you.

We enjoyed the views of Lake Champlain in Vermont and were able to enjoy a Pontoon boat ride.

We were close to Burlington, VT and were able to catch a Lake Monsters ballgame.

As we continued to explore the area, we managed to work in a trip to Chester, Vermont. We met up with our niece and her family that own THE ABSOLUTE BEST CAFE. It’s called the Southern Pie Cafe.

We enjoyed lunch outside in a beautiful setting with our niece.

And, what’s a visit to New England without spotting a Moose?!

Well, we went looking…several miles and several hours of looking!

Our friends told us of a place in New Hampshire that was supposed to be where hundreds of Moose called home. Apparently, they were on vacation on the day we were there because we saw none. But, the drive was nice and the scenery beautiful

We also took the opportunity to visit another niece and her family in Rhode Island. Although we don’t have pictures of Rhode Island to share.

Rhode Island and Connecticut are so close together, so we spent some time there as well. Mystic, Connecticut has a charming downtown with many quaint and interesting shops, but it is probably best known for Mystic Pizza. Mystic Pizza was made famous by the movie Mystic Pizza, one of Julia Roberts first movies.

And of course, no visit to Vermont is complete without a visit to a Maple Syrup farm. We were able to visit Baird Farm and enjoyed a very nice tour. We learned more about syrup farming that we ever thought there was to learn.

And, what about ice cream? We couldn’t miss a visit to the original Ben and Jerry’s factory in Waterbury, Vermont! Robyn and a good friend toured their factory, but were equally impressed by their inguenity in creating the ice cream graveyard. They made a cemetery and put up grave stones for ice cream flavors they retired. That was kind of cool to see.

Vermont, and this part of New England has so much to offer, from it’s rich history to the beautiful landscape, to the Maple Syrup farm, Mystic Connecticut,The Southern Pie Cafe in Chester Vermont, Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream in Waterbury Vermont, Lake Champlain and the Lake Monsters in Burlington, Vermont. But, there’s more of New England to discover.

New England has so much to offer, and we’ve really enjoyed sharing some of the highlights of our journey with you. Now, it’s your turn! Let us know in the comments which places you’ve visited in New England or what’s on your travel bucket list. We’d love to hear your thoughts!

And don’t forget to stay tuned for our next video, where we’ll dive into the beauty of Bar Harbor, Maine and the stunning Acadia National Park. After that we’ll take you along for our incredible trip to Montreal. You won’t want to miss it, so be sure to subscribe and hit the notification bell.

Thanks, and we’ll see you in the next adventure!

  1. What an amazing trip such cool pictures. We have never been on the East Coast. However, our son and daughter-in-law and grandson may be moving to New Hampshire in the near future so we will definitely be having vacation time up in that area after they get moved up there. Oh that’s Eric and Katie you know them and they’ve talked about it for a while. Haven’t made the move yet so we’ll see but it’s so good to see you guys. Are you still camp site hosting or fully retired? We are in Bainbridge Georgia for the winter close enough to Tallahassee so take care and we’ll see you soon .
    Love ya

We are meeting up with some friends in Oregon in July. I’m trying to get consistent with the YouTubes. Getting better, but not where I want to be yet. We’ll have more on Maine and Montreal soon, I hope. Sounds like you’re doing well. Will Eric and Katie be working in New Hampshire?
